Meteorologists are tracking another major storm system that could exacerbate lingering impacts from last weekend’s Winter Storm Fern.

Winds up to 50 mph and flooding along the Jersey Shore are expected from the storm, but potential snowfall amounts remain uncertain, the weather service said.

There is a chance of light snow in East Tennessee on Jan. 30, according to the National Weather Service. The new round of winter weather will mainly affect northeast Tennessee, with Knoxville at the edge of its current reach, according to the forecast.

What to Know A foot or more of snow could blanket the NYC area this weekend, as much of the U.S. is bracing for a massive winter storm. Parts of the region, like Poughkeepsie, could see 18+ inches. It appears the storm will arrive Sunday morning and will lead to hours of snowfall.
