Protests against immigration enforcement have been planned across the country after federal officers shot three people in Minneapolis and Portland

Federal immigration officers shot and wounded two people in a vehicle outside a hospital in Portland on Thursday, a day after an agent fatally shot a woman in Minnesota.

Oregon officials urged people to be calm and called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement to cease operations after a federal agent shot and wounded two people in southeast Portland on Thursday.

Hundreds gathered outside a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday in protest after authorities said federal immigration officers shot and wounded two people in a vehicle outside a hospital.

Two people have been wounded in a shooting involving US federal agents in Portland. It comes as protests ramp up over the shooting of a woman by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.

Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said the agents were conducting a “targeted vehicle stop” involving a Venezuelan national.
