The UFC’s return to Mexico has seemingly taken a huge hit. This past Saturday’s UFC 325 card marked the second numbered event in two weeks, as the promotion looked to kick off 206 and the new Paramount era with a bang.

Brandon Moreno has a new opponent for UFC Fight Night in Mexico City on Feb. 28. After Asu Almabayev was forced to withdraw from the card's main event against Moreno with a hand injury, the UFC has tabbed Lone'er Kavanagh to step in.

Brian Ortega has pulled out of UFC 326 due to injuries. That leaves the Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira headlined fight card without a co-main event.

TKO Group Holdings CEO Ari Emanuel stated that the UFC event scheduled at the White House on June 14, 2026, will consist of no more than seven bouts.

Coach Joe Lopez said Alexander Volkanovski sustained a shoulder injury about four weeks before UFC 325, highlighting a compromised preparation for fight week. On Daniel Cormier’s YouTube channel, Lopez stated the featherweight champion “pulled his shoulder out” ahead of the Diego Lopes bout at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
