Digital Modeling & Fabrication students have diligently been working on a stool project. Students were challenged to design a stool with press-fit joinery, held together by friction, without the use of glue or hardware, which can be fabricated, using a CNC router, out of 1/2" plywood. And the stools must be able to support a sitting person. Students started by creating foam core models, and then turned to Rhino to refine their initial designs.
