We first met Adonis last fall, as he was spending some time in the Children’s Wisconsin NICU gaining weight after being born eight weeks early. In the months since, Adonis has done great — he continues to grow and develop, he’s now home full-time, and last week he celebrated his 1st birthday. A birthday is a big deal for any kid, but for one who came into the world so early and whose first few months of life were filled with so much uncertainty, it’s extra special.
