It is the most convenient thing in the world, and as long as we can babyproof our babies’ rooms, this is definitely what we’ll be doing. I’ve done this so many times before so I knew it was coming but dang I hate the adjustment period. So now I’m trying to find my new normal—finding a new routine that works for

Tonight going to bed I was laying next to Midas and he told me to leave. I responded by saying I didn’t want to because being with him made me happy. So he said, “you feel sad?” And I said, “yeah, I feel sad”. And you wanna know his response? “You can play with me, mom, then you won’t be sad” 😭🤍🤍🤍🤍 And he’s right. Before Midas I experienced loss without living children. in my experience, loss after children is far more hopeful. And if I could go back to young me and tell her anything during

Can you imagine if you had someone there every day reminding you of all the times you failed? 😩 so I’m doing something a bit different. We have a kindness elf, who heard my kids are very nice and he came here to learn from them until Christmas comes! Our elf came with a poem like this (save for later!): A

Vivian Wright on Instagram: "Here’s my honest opinion about playpens from someone who really likes Montessori style learning: I hate the idea of closing my kids into a gated area within our home. I want them to be able to access the whole house at all times. But sometimes its really helpful to either keep them out of a specific area (like when I’m trying to mop), or to keep them in a specific area while you have to get something done and keep them out of trouble. The way I’ve done this is by set
